“El Último”, new audiovisual for photographer Fosi Vegue

In the last 2 years, photographer Pep Bonet and visual musician José Bautista, have put their creative skills together.

The purpose of this union has been the making of a series of audiovisual works, applying Jose´s musical and sound concepts to Pep’s photographic work.

Adhering to the objective of creating a unique audiovisual personality for each work and always keeping Pep’s message and narrative discourse intact, we have been working hard in the production of these pieces since the beginning.

In the recording of these pieces of art, various musicians and chamber music orchestras from Budapest, Macedonia and Madrid have participated in these projects.

José Bautista is the founder of KanseiSounds.

Ganbō 6:21

This very short film focuses on the japanese word, “Ganbō”, and a specific period of time within a confined space – the Tsukiji fish market – and the outskirts of Tokyo. All video sequences were recorded at a specific time interval each day from 6:21 until 6:30 in the morning, during the month of September 2009.

Like many words in this language it means different things depending on the context in which it is used. Ganbō primarily means “Desire” but also “Precipitation” and “Oppresion”. Japanese people also use this word when trying to express the feeling of “can not stop and you have to follow.” Is a complex word that deepens into crucial personality states. Perhaps for western people thought is a bit difficult to understand the polysemic character of this word, but certainly not for japanese people since they know many other similar words that describe similar feelings.
